Nokia rolls out mobile imaging kiosk campaign

June 20, 2004

NEW DELHI -- Nokia has launched a mobile imaging campaign to promote the benefits of imaging to cellular subscribers, according to a company release.

As part of this initiative, Nokia will roll out an eight-city road show across the country to demonstrate the imaging capabilities of Nokia camera phones based on the "Click, Share and Print" application. Participants will be able to visit Nokia kiosks and use the Nokia 3360 or 6600 to take pictures and print the photos.

"These roadshows are a part of Nokia's continuous effort in simplifying technology and making it part and parcel of our consumers' varied lifestyles. Through the roadshows, consumers can experience the fun and excitement of mobile imaging. They can take pictures against special backdrops; and have the images printed and framed," said Gautam Advani, Nokia customer and market operations, India multimedia business director.

As part of this initiative, Nokia is also working with McDonald's on a month-long joint promotional activity across five cities in Northern India.

Any customer buying a Happy Meal at McDonald's will receive a complimentary print-out of any picture they've taken using the Nokia 7600, 3660, or 6600 imaging devices.
