Nobly POS selects Star Micronics’ POS solutions

September 27, 2017

Nobly POS, a provider of an iPad-based point-of-sale system, has partnered with Star Micronics to upgrade its POS software and hardware, according to a press release.

Nobly has added two of Star's Bluetooth POS solutions, the TSP143IIIBI printer and mPOP, a tablet POS system that combines a printer and a cash drawer.

Designed to work with a range of operating systems including Android, iOS, Linux, Mac OS and Windows, the TSP143IIIBI printer provides an auto-connect function for iOS after power on or an out-of-range situation to ensure functionality at all times, according to the release.

Featuring a print speed of 250mm/second, a guillotine auto cutter (MCBF 2 million cuts) as well as thin paper capability, the printer provides benefits for the environment and reduced operating costs for the retailer, according to the release. The solution includes the convenience of an internal power supply along with a vertical mount kit in the box.

Star's mPOP, a compact, high-performance tablet POS system, is a combined Bluetooth printer and cash drawer mobile point-of-purchase solution. Alternatively, mPOP with front feed receipting can be secured under the counter for the enhanced space-saving system. With top loading and front feed as well as a partial cut guillotine, the thermal printer automatically cuts the 58mm-wide receipt, according to the release.
