NID announces new digital photo lab kiosk

February 16, 2005

TAMARAC, Fla. - National Imaging Distributors Inc. introduced the Digital Photo Express, a self-service, fully-automated, digital photo lab for private entrepreneurs looking to start their own business, according to a news release.

The DPE reads images from the nine most popular types of digital media, provides 4-inch x 6-inch and 8-inch x10-inch photos, a CD dispenser and CD burner and a scanner. The DPE will soon incorporate a merchandising feature, allowing customers to have their images printed on mouse-pads, coffee mugs and t-shirts.

"We looked at all the photo kiosks on the market and decided on what would be the best options to offer our customers," says Curtis Stuart, vice president of operations.

The system is housed in a sleek, attractively designed, and durable steel cabinet. The DPE uses a Dell PC, a 17-inch Fuji touchscreen monitor, Mitsubishi dye-sublimation printers and an Iomega CD burner.

National Imaging has put into place a system of support which includes remote access to and monitoring of the kiosks. National Imaging Distributors also offers a skilled support staff which is available via an 800 number to assist its customers with general questions about the software, features, functionality and tips for maintaining the system.
