Newest Home Depot features project-planning kiosk

September 8, 2004

ATLANTA - The Home Depot opened Manhattan's largest home improvement store, bringing 105,000 square feet of merchandise and advice from 300 associates to the borough's residents. The multi-level store will offer a range of innovative products, daily how-to clinics, same-day delivery and a full-time concierge. Kiosks located throughout the store will enable customers to identify projects and print step-by-step instructions and a list of needed project materials. The Home Depot currently operates 14 stores with approximately 3,900 associates in the New York boroughs and plans to open an additional Manhattan store in the Midtown area later this year.
