Residents of Pennington County, South Dakota, have a new option for renewing vehicle registrations with the addition of a South Dakota DMV Now self-service kiosk at 900 Concourse Drive in Rapid City, according to a KOTA News report. The installation brings the county's total number of DMV Now kiosks to four.

The touchscreen machines allow eligible customers from any South Dakota county to renew vehicle registrations with a credit or debit card. Registration documents and license plate decals are printed immediately. Customers also can update contact information, report a vehicle sale, print a seller's permit and complete certain driver's license transactions.

Pennington County Treasurer Annette Brant encouraged residents to use the kiosks as a convenient alternative to visiting the Treasurer's Office. Transactions carry a 2.25% processing fee, and the machines accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards but not cash. Kiosk locations, operating hours and eligibility information are available on the county treasurer's website.
