GOLDEN, Colo. -- Kiosk developer nReach, preparing to debut its signature product, the Mobile Content Kiosk, at Los Angeles International Airport, has entered into a services agreement with kiosk software developer NetShift Software Ltd.
Under the terms of the deal, NetShift will offer nReach the company's software products and consulting services, including services and integration skills.
"This is a very exciting technical alliance," Bob Gallner, NetShift vice president of sales, United States, said in a news release. "This deal brings the proven industrial strength of the NetShift platform together with a cutting-edge kiosk application that has global potential."
The Mobile Content Kiosk will offer customers access to films, music, e-books, software, and mapping services. The items can be downloaded to handheld devices. Mobile phone users will be able to download screen savers, games, and dial tones through the kiosk.
nReach plans to market the kiosks to airports and shopping malls. The company plans to deploy its first kiosks at Los Angeles International Airport the first week in October.
Company spokesman Ed Baran said nReach anticipates receiving orders for 400 Mobile Content Kiosks by the first quarter of 2003, but did not name any locations that have signed deals with the company.
