Motorola adds customer service kiosks in Hong Kong

April 1, 2003

HONG KONG -- Motorola is introducing multimedia kiosks called Motozone at its five retail shops in Hong Kong.

According to ComputerWorld Hong Kong, the kiosks will provide customer hotline service as well as product updates, e-services and "Motoservices."

Motoservices will allow customers to download ringtones, mobile games, screensavers and wallpapers through the access of MyMobileSoft.com. Digital cameras will be available at the kiosks to create pictures and videos for personalized wallpaper and screensavers.

Customers can also access customer representatives, product information and settle payments through the kiosks.

Currently, customers can extend their warranty program through the MotoServiceOne Web site. But Motorola is also developing an after-hours phone repair service at the kiosk. The service will allow customers to submit an electronic form with a voice mail attached and drop their phone at a drop-off box for repair after office hours.
