Monitise forms mobile money network with Best Buy Europe

Monitise has formed a U.K. mobile money network joint venture with retailer Best Buy Europe and Carphone Warehouse founder Charles Dunstone, according to Finextra.com. Monitise holds a 40 percent stake in the venture.

Plans call for the network to be launched next year using Monitise technology to offer mobile services, covering shopping, banking and marketing. Best Buy Europe is a joint venture with Carphone Warehouse. Monitise plc provides a wide range of mobile banking and payments services to its customers in both developed and developing territories.
