Mobile content kiosk to debut at Los Angeles International Airport

August 11, 2002

GOLDEN, Colo. -- Users of handheld devices such as personal digital assistants and MP3 players will have a new destination spot at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in September.

Kiosk developer nReach plans to debut its new Mobile Content Kiosk at two of LAX's The Gate Escape Internet Productivity Centers in September. The kiosks will be located at The Great Escape's locations in Tom Bradley International Terminals and the United Airlines concourse in Terminal 7.

Handheld-device users will have access to feature films, music, games, e-Books, and software at the kiosk. Mobile phone customers will be able to download ring tones, icons, and screen savers for their devices. Media card and wireless delivery systems will be utilized. The kiosk will be powered by design and development platforms from NetShift Software Ltd.

No information was available on what titles would be available through the kiosks or the terms of the agreement between nReach and The Gate Escape.
