Milwaukee PD sets up ATMs as service to consumers, residents

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:ATMs at the Milwaukee Police Department make perfect sense. What place could be safer to get money than a police station? "It just seemed like a good idea to use the station house as a place of business," says the department's chief, who first got the idea more than a year ago after watching Milwaukeeans regularly queue up for purchasing overnight parking permits. As longtime residents know, many folks already are accustomed to buying parking permits at the police station. The department has now placed ATMs in three district police stations in Milwaukee.
