SAN FRANCISCO -- ZiLOGwill demonstrate its latest flash microcontrollers, the Z28 Encore family, at the Embedded Systems Conference here April 23-25. One product demo in the booth is the Kiosk Photo Machine, a product of network-services vendor USA Technologies and Kodak that features the eZ80 Acclaim microcontroller.
Other demos of the eZ80 Acclaim include a vending machine from USA Technologies that will show how the vending industry can use the eZ80 to maintain and evaluate inventory levels via any Web browser; and a telescope demonstration showing how the telescope can communicate with a Palm Pilot interface. The Palm will have GUI software beam coordinates to the telescope and automatically direct the telescope toward the appropriate constellation.
The Z80Acclaim 8-bit microcontroller family features up to 256KB of reprogrammable flash memory, as well as Ethernet MAC and TCP/IP protocols and a complete design kit.
