The Macomb County, Michigan, county clerk office recently installed two kiosks to direct visitors and provide tickets for the wait list. The goal is to improve overall efficiency and reduce wait times, according to areportby Macomb Daily.
The kiosks are designed by Qmatic, which provides an overall virtual queuing system. Visitors can simply select an option from the touchscreen kiosk to receive a numbered ticket to reserve their spot. The kiosk also will ask the visitor if they have completed the proper form. If the visitor has not completed the form, the kiosk will direct them to the proper location.
"We're going to be able to service people faster," Macomb Clerk Carmella Sabaugh said in the report. "Their wait time isn't as long. It will take some confusion out of where people need to go."
In addition, Qmatic will provide a feedback device at each counter service location for visitors to rank their overall satisfaction with their visit. If the visitor leaves a negative review, county clerk officials will be notified immediately to correct the issue.
