Job seekers in Miami, Fla., can stop to search for work at Hiring Box kiosks, which have full-service job search capabilities that rival Internet-based job search sites, such as Monster, CareerBuilder and Craigslist.
According to a company press release, Hiring Box lists thousands of entry, mid-level and executive positions on its website that job seekers can learn about via touch-screen kiosks deployed throughout Miami. They can then print a sheet with contact information for numerous, unfilled positions in their areas or 'zones' of Miami or Broward.
The kiosks are free to businesses and community places and are located in high-traffic areas, including laundromats, shopping malls, libraries, churches, community centers, convenience stores, fast-food restaurants, grocery stores and government centers.
Businesses also have the opportunity to parlay the placement of kiosks into an increase in customer traffic and revenue as they offer an added incentive to a variety of existing and potentially new customers, according to the release.
Hiring Box is planning installation in other large cities, including New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
