Mesa, Arizona hospital offers prescriptions via self-serve kiosk

A self-serve kiosk at Bayless Integrated Healthcare's Dobson Ranch in Mesa, Arizona, enables patients to receive prescriptions and over-the-counter medications immediately following an appointment, according to the East Valley Tribune.

The APM Pharmacy kiosk verifies patients using their IDs and allows them to contact the pharmacist using a private phone to preserve patient confidentiality and avoid HIPAA violations.

The more than 700 medications available through the kiosk were selected based on a review of which are prescribed most frequently.
