Meridian invests over $1M in equipment, expands staff

August 2, 2019

Meridian has completed several improvements to its global corporate headquarters in Aberdeen, North Carolina. A fully-integrated manufacturer, the company designs, engineers, fabricates, assembles, deploys, and supports self-service solutions of all kinds from its 13-acre facility.

The improvements consisted of an investment of more than $1 million in fabrication equipment, including the installation of an upgraded Trumpf fiber laser on the manufacturing floor.

"We're excited to add the new fiber laser to our tooling lineup," CEO Chris Gilder said in a press statement. "The upgraded technology will allow us to more effectively and efficiently scale to meet the demands of the larger opportunities and projects we're seeing come through."

In July, the company welcomed Denise Bellenger to the operations leadership team as project manager. In her new role, Bellenger works with the sales, design, fabrication and assembly teams to ensure that processes and projects are carried out effectively from beginning to end.

The company is also looking to add additional sales executives.
