Mental health screening kiosk installed in North Carolina city

May 25, 2017

A mental health screening kiosk has been installed in the lobby of the Scotland County Health Department in Laurinburg, North Carolina, according to The Laurinburg Exchange.

The Eastpointe Connect kiosk offers an anonymous way for people to answer questions designed to indicate symptoms of a mental health condition. The kiosk will also suggest local resources for treatment.

The kiosk is wheelchair accessible and offers a privacy filter that makes on-screen data visible only to the individual in front of the monitor.

The county health department also provides wallet cards containing the website to access information on a personal computer, phone or tablet.

Eastpointe manages the mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities and substance use/addiction services for 12 eastern counties.
