MEI Launches New CASHFLOW® Bulk Note Feeder

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEI Launches New CASHFLOW® Bulk Note Feeder

Retailers can significantly reduce cash management costs and shrinkage

West Chester, Pa., August 31, 2007 – MEI has released its CASHFLOW® bulk note feeder (BNF), which is now available as a component in smart safes. Using a smart safe equipped with a CASHFLOW BNF, store managers can count, process and secure cash more efficiently in the back office and/or at the point of sale.

By replacing a conventional, unintelligent safe in the back office with a BNF-equipped smart safe, store managers can place stacks of up to 50 bills at a time into the BNF tray and return to other duties. The BNF automatically feeds the bills into the safe, where they are counted, validated and stacked in a secure cassette, ready for deposit. By automating these processes, managers have more time to focus on other important functions such as assisting customers, managing vendors and supervising staff.

Retailers can also deploy BNF-equipped smart safes at the point of sale so that counter personnel can secure cash directly into the safe during a transaction, or managers can secure cash overflow without walking it through the store to the back office. This practice reduces the handling of cash by multiple employees as well as the skim frequency, ultimately reducing shrinkage.

The CASHFLOW BNF/bill acceptor combination provides the best protection against jams in the industry – a one in 30,000 jam rate. In the rare case of a jam, retailers can fix it without opening the safe due to a unique, "easy access" bill path design. For more information and a demo of this product, retailers can visitwww.cashflowbnf.com, or call 800-345-8215 for immediate assistance.
