Mediaport MediaATMs add Sony BMG content

July 6, 2006

NEW YORK — Mediaport Entertainment Inc. announced an agreement to offer consumers music from Sony BMG Music Entertainment's recorded music library through its MediaATM retail kiosks and Web site. The MediaATM, with its patent-pending digital download technology, is an unmanned kiosk that sells digital entertainment content such as music, games, and videos.

Under the terms of the agreement, consumers can select albums or create customized compilations from a wide range of Sony BMG artists, which can be burned onto CDs or downloaded directly to a portable device via USB connections. Mediaport introduced the MediaATM in Salt Lake City, Utah, in November 2003.

"We are happy to be working with Mediaport, and look forward to participating in the roll out of this initiative," said Thomas Hesse, president of global digital business for Sony BMG Music Entertainment.
