McDonald's UAE deploys 'Create Your Taste' kiosks

McDonald's customers of the United Arab Emirates can now create their own custom orders with "Create Your Taste" kiosks, according to areport by Emirates 247. McDonald's has already deployedthese kiosks in several countries, but this is the first rollout in the UAE at the Ghurair Centre outlet.

"As a global brand making the UAE its country for the last 20 years, we realized the importance of personalization to our customers," said Rafic Fakih, managing director and partner at McDonald's UAE. "Introducing 'Create Your Taste' is another step in our journey to serve the community we are part of."

The customer orders his or her food with the touchscreen kiosk. From, there the employees use GPS to find the customer's location in the store and deliver the food on an open-faced wooden tray. Orders from the menu take about 5 to 8 minutes to complete, according to the report.
