McDonald's restaurants in Germany to add ordering kiosks

McDonald's is planning to bring its German restaurants up to speed with custom burgers, improved play areas and self-ordering kiosks, according to a report by The Street.

McDonald's plans to invest $557 million to upgrade its locations in Germany. With the new kiosks, users will be able to place custom orders by selecting ingredients from a large touchscreen.

McDonald's plans to renovate all 1,472 locations in Germany by the end of 2019. The restaurant franchise has also deployed kiosks at 600  U.S. locations, according to the report.
