McDonald’s employees displayed patience showing customers how to use the new self-serve kiosks when WPLV-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida visited one of the 4,000 McDonald’s restaurants adding kiosks this year, according to a news report. Erica Shadoin, who owns the local franchise, said customer response has been positive.
Once a customer makes an order at a kiosk, they receive a sign to put on their table, where a server brings their order.
One customer said the kiosk will take some getting used to, but she expected it to be "awesome." Her granddaughter said it was fun, even though it was difficult to reach the top of the touchscreen.
Those customers who want to pay with cash must go to a cashier counter.
