McDonald's DVD kiosks tested in supermarkets

The Boston Globe: McDonald's is taking its Redbox DVD rental kiosks out of the restaurant and into the world outside. According to this report, 550 of the kiosks are deployed, and although most of them are located in McDonald's stores, they are being tested in drugstores and supermarkets too. Users have rented about 2.5 million movies from Redbox kiosks, with an 80 percent repeat customer rate.
