October 8, 2014

The town of Wareham, Massachusetts has reported plans to allocate revenue from the town's parking kiosks, according to the Wareham Village Soup.

The parking kiosks brought $138,000 of net revenue in the 2014 fiscal year, exceeding the town's expectations. Town Administrator Derek Sullivan plans to use $14,000 for two new kiosks and hopes to obtain a total of eight for the parking program.

"They can be placed essentially anywhere when it comes down to it," he said in the article.

The funds have been earmarked for maintenance of the kiosks as well, and Sullivan intends to set aside $20,000 for improving signage, road striping and repairing parking lots. Sullivan also plans to use the revenue to hire season patrol officers to enforce parking rules, the article said.
