Greenfield, Massachusetts residents can now make reports and file requests faster at the police department, thanks to a kiosk in the department lobby, according WWLP-TV.
The touchscreen tablet installed Monday allows residents to request public records, type in complaints, appeal parking tickets, search the sex offender registry and view crash reports.
The kiosk saves people from having to fill out forms and have an officer transcribe them into a digital format, said Lieutenant William Gordon.
Gordon said the technology will be updated periodically, and requests will be made to include fire permits. A similar kiosk will soon be installed at the town hall.
