Manhattan's Bergdorf Goodman deploys mobile-charging kiosks

Manhattan department store Bergdorf Goodman has installed cellphone-charging stations by ChargeItSpot.

Manhattan department store Bergdorf Goodman has installed cellphone-charging stations by ChargeItSpot, according to a company announcement.

"Bergdorf Goodman has always adopted a forward-thinking approach to fashion," Bergdorf Goodman VP of Operations and Strategic Initiatives Agatha Wirth said in the announcement. "And now we’re looking to cutting-edge retail technology, like ChargeItSpot, to help enhance our customer service and set the gold standard for exceptional retail experiences."

The interactive phone-charging kiosks are currently housed in retailers such as Whole Foods, Urban Outfitters and RadioShack. Bergdorf's installation marks ChargeItSpot's first foray into the luxury retail landscape, the company said.
