According to MySinchew.com, economy-class passengers on Malaysia Airlines domestic flights at Kuala Lumpur International Airport will be switching over to self-check-in kiosks starting Aug. 1.
The Malaysian national carrier today announced that its check-in counters at KLIA would be phased out and replaced by 22 existing self-service kiosks that will be repositioned in front of the counters.
"With the switch over to self check-in kiosks, our customers will have yet another check-in option at the airport in addition to the existing self-service convenience offered through our MH Mobile Check-in, MH Web Check-in and MH Buddy Check-in through Facebook," said Capt. Mohamed Azharuddin Osman, Malaysia Airlines' director of operations, in today's announcement.
