Lego deploys augmented reality kiosks in stores

International toy manufacturer Lego has deployed Lego Digital Box augmented reality kiosks at its stores worldwide. TechChee.com reports that the kiosk blends video with computer animation to show customers what a given Lego toy kit looks like once finished. The composite image gives the customer the impression that the completed kit is sitting on its box.
 
The report states that the kiosk incorporates augmented reality technology by metaio Augmented Solutions.
