New versions of the KioWare kiosk software products for Windows and Android are available

New versions of the KioWare kiosk software products for Windows and Android are available, according to a company announcement.

Analytical Design Solutions released the latest versions of the KioWare suite, which integrate with credit card readers, printers and other external devices for configuring kiosk payment systems.

Kioware for Android Version 3.4 (Lite, Basic and Full with Server) has upgraded security features that disable the status bar of devices running Android KitKat 4.4 and newer, the company said. Basic and Full models now contain external devices enabling card reading and printing. KioWare for Android also has a Spanish Configuration option, along with German and French.

KioWare for Windows Version 7.3.0 Basic and Full models have upgraded to support devices on the ChipDNA platform by Creditcall. ChipDNA provides EMV compliant devices for attended and unattended payments, eliminating the need for the EMV certification process, the company said. KioWare for Windows Basic and Full support ARCA Envoy-based Bill Dispensers and ScanShell 800R. ScanShell 800R scans driver's licenses and transfers data to appropriate form fields.

Kiosk deployers using KioWare for Windows Lite, Basic and Full can modify the KioWare exit routine to allow an add-in to validate an exit pin and indicate that another event must occur before exiting.

KioWare kiosk software products are designed to lock down devices into kiosk mode, creating a layer of security for the operating system, applications, and the home screen, the company said.
