This week in Cologne, Germany, Eastman Kodak Co. will unveil details of the planned rebirth of its photo kiosks, prior to the planned sell-off, at the photo imaging and photography fair Photokina. The latest additions from Kodak are aimed at helping retailers capitalize on the growing personalized and connected imaging market, according to the announcement.
Among the new developments to showcase at Photokina are Kodak's new order terminal, the Kodak Picture Kiosk G4XL Order Station, and the Create@Home software, which allows customers to design photobooks at home and print in-store on the D400 Duplex Photo Printer.
The My Kodak Moments apps will also debut, with Android and iPhone versions, as well as a Facebook application. Both apps will enable consumers to create and print from smartphones or tablets for same day, in-store pick up. Kodak's new Picture Kiosk Software v6.0 will make image sharing more compatible across the devices, the announcement said.
