Eastman Kodak Co. has announced the renewal of its multiyear agreement with the Independent Pharmacy Cooperative to make Kodak Picture Kiosks available to the more than 4,500 independent member pharmacies belonging to the group.
As part of the agreement, IPC will enable independent pharmacies to incorporate the latest innovations from Kodak, including wireless connectivity, mobile applications and social network connectivity.
The deal comes as Kodak finalizes the sale of its personalized imaging and document imaging operations. The sale of those businesses — to a British pension fund for $650 million — is expected to close later this year when Kodak exists from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
