ORLANDO, Fla.-It's a picture we've seen before, and the folks from Rochester are smiling broadly in it.
Kodak has taken top honors in both categories of the second annual Digital Image Marketing Association Photo Kiosk-Shoot Out, held at their annual conference.
The Picture Maker G3 Order Station LS was voted best among remote kiosks (those that require an off-site lab to make the prints), and the Picture Maker G3 Print Station was voted best stand-alone.
The machines won their categories at last year's inaugural event. Also in 2004, DIMA recognized the Picture Maker G3 as one of 10 products among hundreds that would have the most influence on the future of digital imaging.
Twenty photo kiosks from 12 different manufacturers participated this year, with the machines posed in a line in front of the exhibit area of the Photo Marketing Association tradeshow, which is taking place concurrently in the Orange County Convention Center Feb. 20-23.
The machines will remain so arranged throughout the event. Judging were Gary Pageau (Photo Marketing Association International), Francie Mendelsohn (Summit Research Associates), and Joseph Grove, editor of Kiosk magazine and associate publisher of KIOSKmarketplace.com.
Criteria included speed, user-friendliness, ergonomics, feature set, quality of print and overall experience.
