Kodak has signed a new exclusive retail photo services agreement with Officeworks, Australia's largest retailer and supplier of office supplies and solutions for retail and business customers.
The multi-year agreement enables the two companies to provide customers with the new photo shopping experience via Officeworks Photo Centres in all 137 stores around Australia, according to a company press release. At the center of the deal is the installation of new Kodak Adaptive Picture Exchange dry lab equipment and technology.
"Kodak's and Officeworks' vision is to reinvent the retail photo experience, and this provides a prime opportunity to bring this to life," Adrian Fleming, managing director, Kodak Australasia, said in the release. "Kodak offers a wide range of photo products and is continually making new improvements such as the latest Kodak kiosk software enhancements. There is continued customer demand for our solutions and continued opportunity for consistent growth and increased profit in this category."
Mark Ward, managing director, Officeworks agreed, saying that Kodak has helped his company build its photo retailing category to where it is today, with strong growth as well as innovative and cost-effective solutions for customers.
"We see a complete solution from Kodak that can drive increased customer satisfaction and substantial sales growth via new product offerings and better service in the photo category. Additionally, we recognize Kodak can bring enhancements to our print and copy department and are looking forward to continued improvements in these areas also," he said.
Kodak and Officeworks have been partnering on photo services since 2005. The new agreement will see existing Kodak equipment upgraded to new Kodak consumer and business solutions that provide customers with a large array of high-quality photo and printing products such as photo books, Kodak personal greeting cards, canvas prints and more.
