TouchKnow&Go information kiosks, placed in downtown Knoxville, Tenn., by Knoxville Tourism & Sports Corp. (KTSC), are a success with visitors, residents and business owners, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.
The electronic kiosks provide visitors with information about restaurants, shopping and attractions in Knoxville.
KTSC put in four kiosks last year — two at the Knoxville Convention Center, one at the Knoxville Visitor Center and one in Knoxville's Market Square — and is considering placing more, including plans for one at the Knoxville airport.
"Market Square vendors and business owners have been a great partner to us in providing feedback," Kim Bumpas, senior vice president of sales and marketing at KTSC, told the newspaper. "We've seen that, for the most part, the kiosks in Market Square and at the Visitor Center are used for identifying places that are in close proximity to the kiosks."
