KioWare launches software for Android

KioWare announced the release of its Kioware for Android Version 3.3 product line, with Google Drive integration and smartphone capabilities.

York, Pa.-based KioWare announced the release of its KioWare for Android Version 3.3 product line, with Google Drive integration and smartphone capabilities.

The kiosk software company's Android developments include Lite, Basic and Full for Android that can be used to secure mobile devices running on Android OS. Version 3.3 allows XML file settings to be imported and exported via Google Drive for "updating, posting, and sharing of an XML file across multiple devices." It also comes with a battery management tool designed to extend battery life based on configuration settings, the company said.

KioWare software for Android locks down mobile phones into kiosk mode, a design intended to secure operating systems and use of applications.

Version 3.3 of KioWare for Android (Lite, Basic, and Full with Server) offers all of the features listed below:

•    Improved battery management
•    Wide View port enabled
•    Screen on/off scheduling
•    Ability to re-order attract screen
•    Various security updates and bug fixes
