Kiosks provide regulatory, sales support to marijuana industry

GrowLife Inc., a company which develops products and services for the legal cannabis growing and retail industry, announced the debut of its kiosk-based retail software solution at the recent National Marijuana Business Conference and Expo in Auburn, Wash.

Through the GrowLife Financial brand, the software is installed on a dedicated kiosk providing a point-of-sale experience for dispensary customers, as well as a cash and credit reporting system that assures tax and regulatory compliance for operators, a news release said.

Sterling Scott, CEO, GrowLife, said that while the company will continue to focus on its core competency of hydroponic equipment, the kiosk will now supplement those offerings with hardware and software that is geared specifically to the regulatory environment of the industry.

"Recent developments in Washington and Colorado, as well as many other states, now mandate high levels of transaction security by management and geared to the specific regulatory setting unique to each location," Scott said. "While we believe customers will greatly benefit from our built-in ease of use, we also believe that the 'stress level' of regulators looking to quickly assess dispensary sales activity is now also alleviated."
