COLABA, India - As part of a complete renovation of 132 showrooms throughout India, watch retailer Titan has added touchscreen kiosks to showcase the company's product lines.
The first redesigned store, including the kiosks, recently debuted at Colaba in the Indian state of Mumbai. All in-store products are featured on wall displays, which also created more floor space for customers to walk around. The lighting of the store changes by section, with brighter lighting in the section featuring sports watches.
The kiosks provide information on all of Titan's products, and are designed to lure buyers who are willing to make unscheduled purchases through electronic means.
"We wanted to change what was considered a purchase decision to an impulse decision," Bijou Kurien, Titan vice president of sales and marketing, told India's Economic Times.
