ANAHEIM, Calif. - Music and sound sampler production company ILIO Entertainments is turning to kiosks as an in-store marketing tool for the company's series of sample CDs. The CDs contain musical samples of different instruments and genres that can be reproduced on a keyboard.
Designed for use in music stores, ILIO's new Sound Search kiosk features a touchscreen iMAC computer, two pair of headphones, a keyboard for playing demo sounds, and a printer for compiling a shopping list. Customers can listen and play samples from ILIO's brand list, select the CDs they would like to purchase, print out the list, and take it to the store counter.
ILIO debuted the kiosk at the International Music Products Association's Winter NAMM show on Jan. 17 in Anaheim, Calif. ILIO did not announce any planned deployments for the kiosk line, which was developed by 1st Kiosk.
