Kiosk software powers Vidyo video conferencing

Kiosk software KioWare for Windows Version 8.3 now supports on demand video conferencing through Vidyo, which enables customers to engage remotely with customer representatives.

Kiosk software KioWare for Windows Version 8.3 now supports on demand video conferencing through VidyoWorks. This enables customers to video chat with customer representatives from the kiosk, according to the press release.

The product is intended to aid retailers, hospitals, schools and other organizations by enabling customers to interact directly with customer representatives remotely, according to the release.

"Customer facing kiosks and purposed devices can simply and securely establish a high quality, on demand video interaction with customer service, sales, support, or other organization specialists," said Jim Kruper, president and founder of KioWare. "With KioWare's integration of VidyoWorks, providing secure, expert video assistance on-demand is now a click away."

In addition to video conferencing, KioWare for Windows Version 8.3 also provides the following features:

  • Allows businesses to natively render PDFs;
  • Applications can run as soon as KioWare launches;
  • Basic authentication support;
  • File upload control can be used to capture an image;
  • The browser is upgraded to Chrome 45;
  • Latvian users can now use a virtual keyboard in their language;
  • Chip DNA 1.8 makes devices EMV compliant and also supports for other devices; and
  • Businesses can utilize a secret screen to act as an "attract screen" to loop images.

Version 8.3 is available for download and purchase. Users can have free access to new versions of the product by maintaining their license and annual support. All KioWare products are also available for a free trial with nag screen.
