Kiosk payment solution passes European Central Bank certification

The APS Compact NL payment kiosk marks the latest addition to Unixfor S.A. automatic payment systems and the first European Central Bank Article 6-certified self-service kiosk equipped with the CI note line. The certification was completed following testing by the Bank of Greece, according to a press release.

The CI note line from CI Tech Components AG features a modular design and provides high bank note acceptance rates while maintaining ECB Article 6 security standards.

"With the modular design of CI note line, we provide a reliable solution which meets the required high security standards of the APS Compact NL's end market," Dr. Christoph Woenckhaus, managing director at CI Tech Components AG, said in the release. "The fact that Unixfor S.A.successfully passed the current European Central Bank Article 6 framework underlines the technical performance and bank note processing security of Unixfor's latest product addition."

Vassilis Theodoropoulos, sales director at Unixfor S.A., stressed the benefits to customers of this new modular payment kiosk solution that can be tailored to customers' needs for bank note deposit, dispensing and recycling.

The Unixfor payment kiosk is listed under "Successfully tested types of bank note handling machines" on the ECB website.
