The self-service kiosk market is expected to grow at a calculated-annual-growth-rate of 5 percent during the period of 2015 to 2020. This growth is being driven by adoption in smart cities, according to a report by reportsnreports.

Smart cities are using kiosks "interactive advertisements, online shopping and tourist information," according to the report. However, the kiosk market itself is fragmented due to a variety of small and large vendors that operate in the same areas.

Currently, the retail segment of the kiosk market claims a market share of 46 percent, with self-checkout making up a significant portion of retail kiosks. In addition, the Americas hold a 62 percent market share and will experience a CAGR of 2 percent from 2015 to 2020.
