Kiosk manufacturer imageholders teams with Keyzapp on key management kiosks

June 28, 2017

Kiosk manufacturer imageholders has teamed with Keyzapp, a key management software developer, to deploy a floor standing kiosk for estate agents, letting agents and property managers.

The self-service kiosk consists of a Linx tablet and ACR122u NFC reader. Keyzapp wanted to ensure it offered a flexible solution for users, with both a floor standing and wall-mounted enclosure. The Slimline tablet kiosk already exists as a wall-mounted enclosure with space for OEM devices, and was adapted for Keyzapp to be floor standing.

The kiosk enables users to search for a property, assign keys or sign them out. Each key has a small "smart fob" which is used to talk to the NFC reader. The system provides one-touch reporting on key activity to ensure full visibility as to which keys are signed out and by whom. Users then utilize the kiosk to sign the keys back in.

"We created Keyzapp to be adaptable to our clients' individual processes and situations," Tim Hill, founder and director of Keyzapp, said in the press release. "We're delighted to complement our popular desktop and mobile solution with a self-service offering that enables our users to sign keys in and out right from the cabinet. Imageholders are a great partner to work with; they understood our needs and the final product has been well received."
