Kiosk manufacturer imageHOLDERS has teamed with Keytree, a technology consultancy, to securely enclose the voice controlled Amazon Dot within its Full Integration Kiosk, according to a press release.
Keytree has designed a new module to add to its Matrix Booking suite, Matrix Assist. Matrix Assist enables users to make and manage resource bookings as well as run analytics using the Amazon Dot. The Amazon Dot utilizes Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant, which is also available within the Amazon Echo.
The integration of Amazon Dot increases the accessibility of the Matrix Booking system, ensuring those who are visually impaired or unable to utilize the kiosk keyboard can maximize the system capabilities.
The Full Integration Kiosk can also securely enclose a variety of OEM devices, such as visitor pass printers, which work with the Matrix Booking system.
"Matrix Assist is an exciting addition to the Matrix Booking suite which provides the ability for users to interact with the system using speech," Kieron Murphy of Matrix Booking said in the press release. "Today, we can control bookings and perform analytics; soon we will be using speech to control the temperature, light and systems in our offices in many languages."
