Kiosk lets users '`juice up' mobile phones

SINGAPORE -- InfiniTec is pitching its Yuki Charger coin-operated mobile phone charger to retail outlets.

According to a report in The Register, the charger is compatible with most mobile phone brands and comes with 10 different charger plugs.

The Yuki Charger has a built-in display screen to run advertisements while users charge their phones. Users would pay $1 per charge, according to the report.

With the revenue from ads, InfiniTec representatives said outlets such as hotels, airports, shopping malls and restaurants could reach return on investment six months after installing the kiosk. The device costs under $1,000.
