Kiosk Information Systems and St. Clair Interactive collaborate to develop next generation digital media kiosk

April 22, 2004

LOUISVILLE, CO--Kiosk Information Systems,Inc. (KIS) and software developer, St. Clair Interactive, will unveil and demonstrate the SNAPTRAX Digital Media Station, at KioskCom 2004 next week in Las Vegas, according to a company press release.

The KIS 770 and 780 SNAPTRAX models will be the first kiosk units available in the United States and Canada which combine a digital photo finishing station, a public internet access terminal, CD, laptop and MP3 digital music downloading/recording and cell phone services.

"These new units are the next generation of kiosk convenience," according to KIS President Rick Malone.  "Travelers, vacationers and shoppers will be able to download music to MP3 players, laptops or to a CD, print vacation photos, change flight arrangements on the internet or purchase games and ring tones for cell phones all through a single innovative kiosk.  By combining all of these popular features into one unit, the return on investment for these machines far exceeds the first generation public internet terminals and single purpose transaction kiosks being deployed today."

Purchasers of SNAPTRAX units can "mix and match" features to meet specific business goals.  The kiosk hardware system developed by KIS can incorporate such devices as a CD dispenser, multi-media reader, photo printer and IR port.

KIS and St. Clair will cooperatively market to deploy the new units in travel and destination locations including airports, tourist attractions, resorts and hotels along with supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail locations which offer traditional photo finishing services, limited CD sales and public internet access.

For St. Clair Interactive, developer of the SNAPTRAX software applications and the Command and Control remote monitoring product, and KIS this project continues a 10-year working relationship between two of the most experienced and influential companies in the kiosk industry.  "SNAPTRAX gives our clients the opportunity to mix and match various entertainment features in a combination which meets their unique business objectives," explained Doug Peter, CEO of St. Clair Interactive.
