Kiosk company imageholders launches countertop iPad enclosure

A kiosk manufacturer, imageholders, has launched its Shell+ 12 countertop iPad enclosure at an optician's office in the U.K. The enclosure has a swivel mount and a holder for an Apple Pencil and will hold a variety of tablets, including the iPad Air, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro, Microsoft Surface 3 and 4 and other tablets, according to a company press release.

The company integrated the stylus holder specifically to help opticians during consultations; the optician can swivel the enclosure to the customer's side, so he or she can sign digital forms with the Apple Pencil.

"We've not been asked to enclose the Apple Pencil before, so this order was an exciting one. Whilst the stylus won't be fully secure, the holder ensures that the Apple Pencil retains its stylish design, and remains in keeping with the enclosure," Peter Thompson, director of imageholders said in the release.  "The enclosure is ideally designed for consultants and one to one meetings, like the ones held in banks, opticians, or doctors surgeries."
