Kiosk allows customers to virtually try on jewelry

March 28, 2010

The Times of India reportsthatD-Soft Infotech Private Limited launched a jewelry e-counter in November at the Kerala Gem and Jewelry Show in Cochin, India. Through a combination of digital imaging and touchscreen interactivity, the e-counter lets consumers virtually try on jewelry without actually wearing it. To use the e-counter, a customer selects a jewelry item from pictures pre-loaded in the kiosk. An image of the selected item is superimposed on the customer's image and displayed on the kiosk screen. A customer can try up to five different jewelry items at a time.
