Kinko's develops instant digital photo printing services with Web access

April 21, 2002

VENTURA, Calif. - Kinko's is experiencing the gift of giving firsthand this holiday season with its deployment of Internet connected Kodak Picture Maker kiosks.

With Kinko's expansion of its photo services and rollout of Picture Maker kiosks, consumers can print digital images on photo quality paper. Kinko's, the company claims, is the only store to network the photo kiosks to the Web, allowing customers to access Kodak PhotoNet and AOL's You've Got Pictures from the kiosk.

Picture Maker kiosks give would-be Santas the tools to create a unique holiday gift.

After loading a digital image into the kiosk, customers can add messages directly to the image, frame a photo in a holiday border or create a 2001 calendar. The kiosk can also reduce or eliminate red eye and crop and enlarge images.
