Key duplication kiosk provider KeyMe Locksmiths has reached a new milestone with the deployment of its 8,000th self-service kiosk nationwide, according to a press release, reflecting continued expansion of its AI-powered retail platform.

The company said the growth highlights rising demand for automated, self-service solutions across major retail environments, where consumers increasingly seek convenience and speed.

The kiosk platform has been developed and scaled in partnership with Tempe, Arizona-based Benchmark Electronics, which has supported design, engineering and production from early development through national rollout. Manufacturing began in Minnesota and has since expanded to New Hampshire to support increased demand and broader distribution across retail channels.

KeyMe said its kiosk network now serves millions of users annually and has duplicated more than 47 million keys as of March 2026.

The machines are deployed across a wide range of retail locations, including convenience stores, grocers and mass merchants. CEO James Moorhead said the milestone demonstrates how AI-driven systems are moving into physical retail environments, enabled by domestic manufacturing and partnerships that accelerate product development and deployment.
