Kentucky governor christens kiosk for ACA applications

October 3, 2013

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear was in Bowling Green to take part in the opening of the Kynect kiosk at the Barren River District Health Department.

According to a post on wbko.com, Gov. Beshear said more than 11,000 applications are in the system for affordable healthcare.

"For the first time ever, every American will have an opportunity to be covered like most people in other parts of the world are," he said. "I just got back from an economic development trip in Europe. They're all looking at us and saying, 'You mean you all are just now providing healthcare for your citizens?' They all have it in one form or another and it's time we catch up."
