Kastus, an Ireland-based provider of a patented coating applied during the glass manufacturing process to eliminate harmful bacteria, delivering germ-free protection to touchscreens and personal devices, is partnering with three global touchscreen producers: Poland-based Riverdi, Turkey-based Yorglass and China-based General Touch.
Riverdi, a manufacturer of customizable displays, said its partnership will allow it to address consumer concern about antimicrobial resistance on touchscreens.
"The dynamic growth of the world population brings new problems that we have to face," Riverdi CEO Radoslaw Fularczyk said in a press release. "One of them is the increase in the presence of germs on equipment with touch input capabilities. The cooperation between Riverdi and Kastus allows providing touch displays with germ-free coating. From now on, our customers will be able to manufacture products that will be adapted to these contemporary problems."
"We are delighted to be progressing with this partnership and see this as a key milestone in expanding into the international touchscreens industry," said John Browne, founder and CEO of Kastus, speaking of the Riverdi partnership.
Yorglass, a producer of industrial glass serving more than 55 countries, believes Kastus' technology will help meet international standards.
"With innovative and high quality solutions production technology suitable for international standards, Yorglass meets the digitalization demands for more efficient learning environments, fast and productive communication points and efficient marketing points in the best manner," said Fabrizio Missich, chief commercial officer of Yorglass, in the release. "Thanks to our cooperation with Kastus we will take our efforts on customer-oriented solutions one step further, with goals of maximum operational efficiency and sustainability focused on high quality products and services incorporating the latest available technology."
"This mutually beneficial opportunity will see a cross collaboration between Kastus' innovative antimicrobial coating technologies and Yorglass' forward thinking anti-glare and anti-reflective glass surfaces," Browne said of the Yorglass partnership.
General Touch runs four production lines and offers four touch technologies, and has deployed more than 4 million touch touchscreens and touch displays for ATM, POS, multi-function kiosks, gaming, healthcare and more.
"Our decision to partner with Kastus and offer their innovative antimicrobial coating across our touchscreen portfolio aligns perfectly with our approach," said General Touch COO Kimson Tan in the release. "With Kastus, we can protect our customers' brands and their users by producing touchscreens with a lifetime antimicrobial proficiency that only costs a fraction. More importantly, we can sleep better because our touchscreens are now safer than before."
"From ATM touchscreens and medical devices, to quick service restaurant kiosks, our partnership reflects the customer-oriented core values we share," Browne said regarding the General Touch partnership. "With General Touch, we can help our customers to seamlessly integrate touchscreens and panels into their running projects."
